The structure of this factory entrance changes. It becomes rickety, light, and misshapen. It is woven from oakum, a rough, raw material, a low- quality yarn. Swapping metal for fibers, the artist rewrites the official story, focused on the factory owners, production processes, technological discoveries, and statistics. She re-routes it toward the personal, corporeal, individual, toward the smothered voices of the female workers who are lowest in the hierarchy.
